Appointment Policy


Late arrivals, missed appointments, or canceled appointments without sufficient notice, inconvenience those individuals who need immediate appointments for veterinary care. For this reason, we have put the policies in place. Please review the following appointment policies: 


24 Hour Cancelation Policy for Outpatient Appointments

Appointments are in high demand, and an early cancelation will allow another patient access to timely veterinary care. In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, we ask that all appointments be canceled at least 24 hours in advance. For your convenience, you can call our office at 616-942-7387 and one of our receptionists will be happy to reschedule your appointment for another time. 

*Failure to cancel an office visit at least 24 hrs. in advance may result in a missed appointment/late cancelation fee of $25.


48 Hour Cancelation Policy for Surgery and Dentistry Appointments

Surgery and Dentistry Appointments are in high demand, and an early cancelation will allow another patient access to timely veterinary care. In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, we ask that all appointments be canceled at least 48 hours in advance. For your convenience, you can call our office at 616-942-7387 and one of our receptionists will be happy to reschedule your appointment for another time. 

*Failure to cancel a surgery at least 48 hours in advance may result in a missed appointment/late cancelation fee of $50.


Late Arrival Policy

We make every effort to be on time for all our appointments. Unfortunately, when even one patient arrives late, it can throw off the entire schedule for that day. In addition, rushing or “squeezing in” an appointment contributes to decreased quality of care. Therefore, we ask If you are going to be more than 5 minutes late for your scheduled appointment time, please call the clinic. If you will be more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule. 

 

Missed or Late Notification Appointments

A veterinary/client relationship is built on mutual trust and respect.  We strive to be on time for your scheduled appointments and ask that you give us the courtesy of a call when you are unable to keep your appointment. As a courtesy, we provide reminder calls and/or PetDesk reminders before your appointment. However, you are responsible to remember your appointment regardless.

A missed appointment is when you fail to show up for an appointment without a phone call.  


*Failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment, you will be notified of your missed appointment. Missed appointment and late notices will result in a missed appointment/late cancelation fee:

*$25 for an outpatient appointment 

*$50 for a surgery or dentistry appointment. 

When rescheduling any missed appointments, we will require a non-refundable deposit for the following:

*Outpatient Appointment=$65.00 non-refundable deposit

*Surgery/Dentistry Appointment=$100.00 non-refundable deposit
